Wesley Woodyard Poised For Breakout Season In Nashville

After his tenure with the Denver Broncos, former Kentucky Wildcats linebacker Wesley Woodyard is looking to make an immediate impact to the Tennessee Titans defense. Woodyard has shown that he is an elite coverage linebacker and is able to cover just about any tight end in the game. He signed a 4 year deal with Tennessee worth 16 million dollars but not just that, he could end up becoming the leading tackler for the Titans in 2014.

The Titans defense has been lacking a great standout linebacker since the days of Keith Bullock and Woodyard could fit into their defensive scheme quite nicely. He will be joined by two very promising linebackers in Zach Brown and Akeem Ayers who are both in high regard among the Titans organization moving forward. The Titans defense should be much improved going into this season and Woodyard will definitely be a huge part of their improvement if he stays healthy.
