Kentucky Wildcats Football: Gators Beat Wildcats for Commitment

George Brown Jr., an offensive tackle from Winton Woods High School in nearby Cincinnati, Ohio chose the University of Florida Gators over the Kentucky Wildcats.

Brown, Class of 2015 had offers from many top schools in college football, quite a few hailing from the SEC. Some of the schools Brown had offers from LSU, Alabama, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Georgia and current National Champions, the Florida State Seminoles. However, that list doesn’t even begin to emphasis the amount of schools that were after Brown.

Brown is related to Wildcat signee, Mike Edwards. Edwards would’ve been an incoming Wildcat this fall, but is having to have shoulder surgery and will join the Wildcats in January, but it didn’t seem to phase where he chose to go, choosing the Gators over the Wildcats.
