Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Recruiting: Cheick Diallo is on Kentucky's campus this weekend

Kentucky Basketball Recruiting has been very fun to cover ever since John Calipari took over in Lexington about 5 seasons ago. In 2015, I don’t expect anything different.

Every major recruiting service have updated their 2015 rankings within the last month, and as expected Kentucky is heavily involved with many of the elite guys in this class. Malik Newman seems to be Cal’s top priority for point guard in this class, and Jaylen Brown who is now a top 3 player in the class is a Kentucky lean according to many experts.

Kentucky new assistant coach Slice Rohrssen was heavily involved in 2015 with one guy who is on Kentucky’s campus this week for a visit, and Evan Daniels call this guy “The hardest worker in the class, and it’s not even close”

Cheick Diallo is ranked in the top 15 of the 2015 class, and is 6-9 from New York. He arrived in Lexington yesterday according to Kyle Tucker for his visit, and is scheduled to stay all weekend. I knew as soon as Kentucky hired Slice the Diallo would become a major player for the Cats in the 2015 class, and it’s looking like Kentucky could be the leader for him as well.

I wouldn’t expect a commitment from him anytime soon as he says he will wait till December to make his college choice but I do expect Kentucky to land Diallo, and with the expected departures from Willie Cauley-Stein, Dakari Johnson, and possibly Karl Towns their will be minutes available next season.
