Kentucky Wildcats Basketball: The Draft is Coming

Now that it’s June, we can shift our focus to the upcoming NBA Draft.

Sure, it’s sad to see our players leave the University of Kentucky, but it’s awesome to watch them fulfill their life long dream, playing in the NBA.

The 2014 NBA Draft  is Thursday, June 26th, so a mere 15 days away, two weeks from tomorrow. Wildcat fans are sending off James Young and Julius Randle with well wishes as they take their career to the next level. The love for these two players will never fade in the hearts of Wildcat fans, and the sting of them leaving will fade once their name is called that Thursday night. Wildcat fans will rejoice and feel proud that they had the pportunity to get to know and love these two players the way they did. It’s a love and feeling that other fan bases wish they could have.

As James Young and Julius Randle are taking their career to the next level by entering the NBA Draft, they are also taking fans. Wildcat fans will follow these two for the rest of their lives if they can, they will know statistics about their former Wildcats faster than a mega fan for the NBA team they play on. It’s impressive, really.

They will be missed greatly and remembered forever for the run they made in 2014, but the Big Blue Nation will send love and strength to James Young and Julius Randle on draft night in just a few weeks.
