Former Wildcat Bledsoe Could Be Key Part Of Possible Trade

On Monday, news broke out that another team has joined the race for Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love. That team is the Phoenix Suns, who have been playing very competitive basketball despite being in a rebuilding process. Acquiring Kevin Love would definitely bolster their team in the right direction but to make that happen Phoenix would most likely have to say goodbye to possibly 2 of their best players in point guards Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic.

If this deal were to happen the Suns would not only be giving up those 2 but most likely a couple of first round picks either in this years draft where they have 3 or some picks in the future. While this deal seems to make sense for the Timberwolves as Eric Bledsoe is a restricted free agent and they could lock him up with a huge max deal that he is looking for it also has its drawbacks.

Goran Dragic is not the point guard of the future for the Timberwolves as they have a lot invested in Ricky Rubio. Bledsoe being moved to the 2 guard where he normally is when Dragic is on the court is where he would be with Rubio and the T-Wolves. That young back court would be a lot of fun to watch and would sell a lot of tickets for sure. Time will tell what happens as the draft is a little over 2 weeks away and whoever is going to make the deal for Love will likely do it a couple days before draft day.
