Kentucky Baseball: Cats Dominate Georgia In Series Opener

It’s hard to believe the regular season is nearing its end for the Kentucky baseball team. The final series of the season meant playing Georgia in Athens.

Big Blue couldn’t have gotten off to a better start against the Dawgs.

The win moved UK to 13-15 in the SEC, two full games ahead of Tennessee with two games left to play. The Vols were done in by Florida in their series opener.

Brent Ingram gives us an idea of how the teams are placed as they enter their final two SEC games of the season. Kentucky has given themselves a little bit of breathing room of late as the top 12 teams can qualify to make the SEC Baseball tournament in Hoover, Alabama.

Tennessee, Georgia and Auburn are facing more stressful situations. Kentucky is still affected as they will no doubt get a better effort from a desperate Georgia team as the weekend continues.

The Cats need to continue to handle their business.

Speaking of handling business, A.J. Reed has been unreal.

The rest of the Cats just need to follow his lead and this season could wind up being very special.
