It is no secret that the 2014-2015 version of the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team is going to be one of the best, if not the best, to ever step foot on a college basketball court. Of course, the key is the fact that it is only May. There are still five months until the famous Big Blue Madness takes place, which is the start of the season for the vast Big Blue Nation that stretches across the country. This year, similarly to last year, Lexington will be riddled with NBA scouts and general managers as they hope to draft one of the many talented players on the roster.

In fact, it might be beneficial for each NBA franchise to purchase a townhouse in Lexington, as there could be as many as ten future professional players on this years team. Alex Poythress, Willie Cauley-Stein, Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Dakari Johnson, Marcus Lee, Karl Towns Jr, Trey Lyles, Devin Booker, and Tyler Ulis. All ten of these prospects have a lot of pro potential and can all be impact players for whichever team ends up drafting them. The abundance of talent leaves little need for some NBA scouts to go anywhere else but Lexington for the entirety of the 2014-2015 college basketball season.

The only hope that we, as fans, can have for next years team is that they gel quickly. That’s what killed us throughout much of this past season. However, if this team can do what last year’s team couldn’t, then scouts and fans could join forces side by side as the product Calipari rolls out on the court demolishes everything that stands in their way…hopefully ending in a ninth national championship. Stay tuned Lexington residents. It’s going to be crowded in town with all the scouts and a full bandwagon.
