With spring practice now officially over and summer workouts preparing to begin, it is time to look ahead to the fall and what the season ahead has in store. Part of the lure and the fun of any season is getting to watch the games on TV, as many of us don’t have the funds or time to go to the games on a week-to-week basis. It is for this reason that the release of the SEC Network and the schedule for the upcoming season is something that has to have the Big Blue Nation drooling, as they can now see their team nearly every game of the season from the comfort of their own home.
While the release only covered the first four weeks of the season, it is still exciting. Two of Kentucky’s games were picked up, which include the home and season opener vs Tennessee-Martin at 12:00pm on August 30 and the SEC opener @ Florida at 7:30pm on September 13. Both of these games should be good ones, especially considering the improvement all around that Kentucky has made. A win in their opener should be no problem at all, and they should at least be competitive against Florida, despite playing the game in Gainesville.
With the season rapidly approaching and a lot of upgrades coming this offseason, it should be an exciting time for the Wildcat faithful. Stay tuned for more updates on TV scheduling, game times, and other important new drops concerning the 2014 Kentucky Wildcats football team as the summer workouts ramp up and the regular season rapidly approaches.
