With 19 days until the NFL draft, everybody is getting anxious. Players, teams, and even fans are looking forward to the day that might decide the fate of one of your favorite players. Thirteen players participated in Kentucky’s annual pro day on March 14th. The scouts in attendance represented 20 NFL teams and one arena football team. In addition to the 10 graduating seniors that participated in pro day, 3 players who graduated in 2012 came back for a second chance at showcasing their skills. These players included running back, CoShik Williams, wide receiver, Aaron Boyd, and cornerback, Cartier Rice. Coaches and current players all showed up to show support to their talented teammates who are working hard to achieve their dreams. The two-time all-SEC linebacker, Avery WIlliamson, received positive feedback at both pro day and at the NFL combine. Jonathan George ran a very impressive time in the 40-yard dash and, had he been invited to the NFL combine along with his teammate, his time would’ve been tied for fourth best among all running backs- a major feat for the 225 pound athlete. All athletes showed promise and potential on this day, which may lead to more teams showing interest: an exciting possibility for Kentucky players and the Big Blue Nation.
