Montaque Gill-Caesar has decided to remain in the Class of 2015. Thus, not reclassifying into the Class of 2014.
Gill-Caesar is a 6’6″ small forward from Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. The five-star recruit is playing his high school basketball at Huntington Prep in West Virginia. He is ranked by ESPN as the No. 3 small forward and as the No. 18 overall player in the Class of 2015.
Kentucky has been recruiting Gill-Caesar for over a year, as there was the possibility of him reclassifying in the Class of 2014. Other top programs recruiting Gill-Caesar include Duke, Kansas, and Michigan State.
Gill-Caesar could have been a great addition to Kentucky’s 2014 recruiting class. If the Harrison twins and James Young leave for the NBA this year, the Wildcats will be thin in the backcourt and at the wing positions. If those departures occur, Kentucky will be in a bit of a bind in the area of jump-shooting. Devin Booker, Dominique Hawkins, and Tyler Ulis would have to step up quickly and fill those roles.
