#9 Kansas State Wildcats 20-12 (10-8)
March 21, 9:40 p.m.
Scottrade Center- Saint Louis, Missouri
Kentucky plays Kansas State on Friday, March 21st at 9:40 on CBS. Kansas State Wildcats’ overall record is 20-12 and this will be their only game against the University of Kentucky this season. Although the two teams have not met recently, we can compare their current statistics, yet the outcome may be impossible to predict.
The biggest difference being that Kansas State is ranked 110th in rebounds per game while Kentucky is ranked 5th. Kentucky is ranked higher in three of the four categories, but as it has been in many other games thus far, Kansas State is dominating us in assists. Kansas State is ranked 211th in point per game, while Kentucky is ranked 46th. That is quite a massive difference and theoretically would greatly benefit Kentucky.
Kentucky is ranked 115th in field goal percentage in comparison to Kansas State who is ranked 212th in the same category. While all of this looks great for the University of Kentucky Wildcats, the category in which Kansas State is ranked higher also has quite a large gap in rankings between the two teams. While Kentucky is ranked 260th in overall assists per game, Kansas State is ranked 27th. This is one thing that could cause serious problems for the Kentucky Wildcats in the upcoming game. Kansas State is also looking to change their fate, coming off of a 91-85 loss to Iowa State. Hopefully, Kentucky will bounce back from their 1-point loss against Florida to dominate the Kansas State Wildcats this Friday in Saint Louis.
