Kentucky Wildcats Basketball: 1st Half Kentucky 29 KSU 23

A very ugly start the late game tonight as both teams came out cold from the floor, and it didn’t heat up much throughout the 1st half, but Kentucky did knock down some outside shots.

The game started very weird as a Kansas State player got called for a technical for dunking the ball in warmups. So even before the game started Kentucky was up 1-0 after Andrew Harrsion hit one of two free throws.

Aaron Harrison had 9 points to lead Kentucky in the 1st half after hitting two 3s from the wing to kind of break the ice on the rim. Julius Randle only had 4 points including a major dunk, but played very hard on the defensive end.

The main story of the 2nd half was the play of Willie Cauley-Stein as he blocked everything that came around the rim. Kansas State didn’t hit a 3 in the 1st half but expect that to change in the 2nd half.

Marcus Foster beat Kentucky on the dribble a couple times, and that can’t continue or the Kentucky Wildcats will be in trouble.

Kentucky went into halftime with a 6 point lead and the score was 29-23.

Look forward to a great 2nd half.
