If it’s March Madness, Dereck Whittenberg is around. Whittenberg shot the most famous airball in NCAA Basketball Tournament in 1983. Of course it would have been just another airball until the late Lorenzo Charles grabbed it and slammed it home, resulting in a 1983 National Title for NC State. Whittenberg is now Director of Player Development for the Wolfpack, but he wants you to know where to watch tonight’s NCAA Tournament action.
Tonight, the NCAA Tournament starts with the first two games of the “First Four” from Dayton, Ohio. And you had better have TruTV to catch the action:
6:40 PM: #16 Mount St. Mary’s versus #16 Albany
9:10 PM: #12 North Carolina State vs #12 Xavier
And like we have done for the third straight year, the Wildcat Blue Nation will have recaps of all 65 NCAA Tournament games, starting after the final buzzers.
