Kentucky Wildcats Basketball: Let The Madness Begin

With the SEC Tournament ending with a heartbreaking 1 point loss to the Florida Gators it is now time to move on to the NCAA Tournament. When Kentucky heard their name called on Sunday it was a little shocking that they dropped to not a 6 or 7 but to an 8 seed. This in itself should be motivation for this team who has underachieved all year in my opinion with the level of talent this team possesses. The Cats are set to play at 9:40 on Friday against the 9 seeded Kansas State Wildcats and that will not be an easy task.

The seeding is not the only thing that should be a motivational factor for this tournament but also the fact that they can put an end to the unbeaten Wichita State Shockers in the second round if they can knock off 9 seeded Kansas State on Friday . If that occurs and they beat both of these squads they would most likely meet another team that they would absolutely love to beat again in our biggest rivals the Louisville Cardinals who got a 4 seed in the Midwest. I truly believe that this team has the ability to make a deep run in this tournament but they surely wont have it handed to them. This could possibly be the hardest bracket in the tournament looking from top to bottom and Kentucky will have its word cut out for them if they can pull off some upsets.
