Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Recruiting: Jackson Davis Gains Another Offer

Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford was in attendance at Lafayette High School’s basketball practice yesterday.  Ford then offered Jackson Davis a scholarship.

Davis is a senior power forward and has emerged as one of the top uncommitted prospects in the Class of 2014.  Davis stands at 6’8″ and is rated by ESPN as a three-star recruit.  ESPN ranks him as 58th best power forward in the Class of 2014 as well.  Davis is also the son of Johnathan Davis, who played for Kentucky from 1987-91.

Davis picked up a scholarship offer from Alabama this week as well.  Alabama head coach Anthony Grant gave Davis the offer after an in-home visit with Davis and his family on Monday night.

Davis already had offers from Butler, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Vanderbilt, to name a few.  Baylor, Florida, Indiana, and Virginia Tech have expressed interest in Davis over the last few days.  Neither Kentucky nor Louisville have contacted Davis.

Davis will lead Lafayette into the 11th Region Tournament this Friday night in Frankfort.
