With the positive vibe surrounding Kentucky Wildcats football, it’s easy to forget the back to back two win seasons. The Wildcats have plans for a stadium renovation and new training facilities. The team has just wrapped up their best recruiting class ever. After a miserable 2012, fans were back at Commonwealth Stadium as UK had the second biggest increase in attendance and were in the top thirty for attendance. Mark Stoops and his staff are going after five-star players with swagger. And the recruits are responding to the pitch. You are seeing players that once thought unattainable making stops in Lexington and talking about UK on social media. That’s great but in order to keep these recruits interested, Kentucky has got to win on the field in 2014.

And so the question is “How many games does UK need to win to keep up this recruiting momentum?”.

I’ve seen some pundits on social media say that UK needs to win six games this year to keep players like Damien Harris interested. Is that possible?

In his second season, Mark Stoops will have a roster that will be more than 50% of “his players”. But is it too early to see results? Let’s take a look at the schedule.
