Kentucky Wildcats Football Recruiting: Top Five for Luke Hiers

Luke Hiers, a highly-recruited center in the Class of 2015, has trimmed his list of school choices and announced the top five.  He tweeted his new top five earlier today and Kentucky is at the very top.

Hiers’ updated list includes (in order) Kentucky, USF, Syracuse, Nebraska, and Mississippi State.  North Carolina State, who was in his top five last month, was replaced by Syracuse.  He also has offers from Alabama, Florida, LSU, and Miami (FL).

Hiers is from Lake Wales, Florida, stands at 6’3″, and weighs in at 280 pounds.  ESPN has Hiers rated as a three-star recruit.  He is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 1 player at his position and as the 271st best player overall in the Class of 2015.

Hiers is also teammates with Marcus Walker.  Walker is a three-star defensive back in the Class of 2015 who committed to Kentucky last month.  Hiers visited Kentucky in November and the Wildcats appear to be the favorite thus far in his recruitment.  Walker could have some influence on his decision when things are all said and done.
