Mark Stoops Has Nation Taking Notice of Kentucky Wildcats

The Kentucky Wildcats football program hasn’t had a lot of success over the past five years, but the recruiting success of Mark Stoops and his staff is unprecedented.

Never before has a UK class finished in the top-25 of any major recruiting service, yet this class was a consensus top-25 haul among the likes of Rivals, 247Sports and ESPN.

Speaking of which, SEC writer, Edward Aschoff wrote about Stoops’ big splash on National Signing Day.

Stoops was even invited onto Thursday’s episode of College Football Live to talk about the class:

“It’s very important to win your fair share of battles, and we’re going to win our fair share,” Stoops told ESPN. “We’re going to recruit very hard, we’re going to recruit the best players, and we’re not afraid to go in and compete.

You’re going to win some and lose some, but I thought we did a nice job of hitting a very high percentage of guys we targeted.”
