It is interesting that both UCLA and Kentucky made the cut, as neither school has made an official offer to the junior out of California yet. Of course, if he continues to play as he did on Saturday, those offers cannot be too far away. His numbers were not eye-popping, but were more than enough to lead his team to a 103-66 victory and improve to 15-4. Ivan Rabb ended up with 24 points, scoring 14 of those points on seven dunks, and 14 rebounds.
It will be difficult to tell, even if Calipari does indeed extend an offer to the young forward, if he will go to Kentucky or not. There has been a recent pipeline from Rabb’s AAU Oakland Soldiers to the Arizona Wildcats, one which includes Stanley Johnson, Aaron Gordon and Brandon Ashley. It will be a battle for Calipari if he wants to win over Ivan Rabb and get him into a Kentucky jersey. Of course, if history has taught us anything, we should not count him out of any top player. Stay tuned folks!
