On Tuesday night on ESPN the whole country will be watching to see if this Kentucky Wildcats squad is the real deal or not. This game against a very physical LSU Tiger team will be a good test of the Cats strength overall, not to mention their mental strength as well. In this hostile in conference environment it could be very easy for the young Wildcats to lose their focus as we’ve seen this year when they travel away from Lexington and they cannot afford to lose this game. Johnny O’Bryant III will be sure to be physical with Cauley-Stein and Julius Randle so they will have to stay calm and not get rattled by him. The Tigers are one of the most athletic teams in the conference with a good amount of size and speed. If the Wildcats want the win they will definitely have to fight the entire 40 minutes, because it surely will not be given to them. I look forward to seeing freshman James Young fight to get more in close opportunities as we’ve seen flashes of it these past few games and I think he will be the real difference maker in this one. If this team can drive and take their big men out of the game with foul trouble this game could get away from the Tigers very quickly and that’s the goal. If the Wildcats start fast and keep the pressure on I know that the Tigers will tire and their lack of depth will hurt them. Tune in to watch this road battle at 9 o’clock on ESPN Tuesday night as the second game of Super Tuesday.
