Against Georgia on Saturday the big question at hand is who is it going to be this week who steps up their game for the Wildcats? Is it going to be Young, Randle, either of the Harrison’s or Poythress? Well, for this game, I am looking towards center Willie Cauley-Stein to step up his game and get back into the swing of things after having a few lack luster games. Willie is averaging 8 points and 7 rebounds for the Cats but he has been lacking majorly in the production category these last few games. He has the ability to be something great and we have seen strides of this all year offensively and defensively but something else about him is what really intrigues me as well as a lot of NBA scouts I’m sure. His athleticism is through the roof and that right there is a ticket to the lottery in the NBA draft come June. With his athleticism at his height he can be a force in the league if he continues to develop great timing on his blocks and gains a little bit of weight and muscle he’ll be good to go. The speed at which he is getting better each and every game is something that NBA General Managers will look at as well, because sometimes they draft big men seeing them as a project player in the beginning. For Willie I don’t see that he will have as much developing to do as some former Cats like Daniel Orton and others because he stayed around that extra year and that has been huge for him.
