There is no argument about it.  Mark Stoops has done an amazing job recruiting for his first two classes at Kentucky, but I for one, am interested to see how the 2015 class shapes up.  As for now and the rest of this class, he has had one very big ace up his sleeve when it comes to recruiting:  a chance at immediate playing time in the SEC.  As we go into the 2015 class and beyond, the focus will shift from immediate playing time to becoming part of the program and this team will need to show improvement next year to get those recruits.

For now though, the immediate playing time thing worked for massive offensive tackle Josh Krok, who flipped to Kentucky yesterday from West Virginia.  Krok spoke with Cats Illustrated.

"“I started to really think about Kentucky maybe two or three weeks ago and what really (sealed) it was the playing time,” Krok explained. “Then I went on the official visit. When I was down there I could tell they were all good people. The players were the same. “I got to hang out with Ramsey Meyers, (Jon) Toth, another offensive lineman, and Reggie (Meant), a defensive lineman.” Krok said the coaches have talked to him about coming in and making an immediate impact on the program. “They’ve talked to me about coming in and competing right away. Nothing’s guaranteed but I’m going to compete,” he said. The three-star prospect said he no longer plans to take an official visit to West Virginia this weekend. He had been committed to the Mountaineers since the summer."

With the commitments of Kendall Randolph and Krok this week, it appears that Kentucky may have just two more spots in this class.  One of those is being held for Matt Elam.  And then it gets interesting.  Apparently former commit Derrick Kelly is still in the running for that spot.  Kelly, was one of the “hidden gems” that Kentucky has grabbed in the past, but he seems to have exploded and now everyone is after him.  It is good news that he is still considering the Cats.

"“I still have interest in them,” Kelly told Cats Illustrated. “Coach Stoops came by and had a meeting with my parents first at home and then he came to my school to see me (on Tuesday). (My parents) said everything went good. He just talked about what to look for at a school like Kentucky and why I should think about them. Basically things like that. He said the same kind of stuff to me.” Florida head coach Will Muschamp visited Kelly on Monday and now the lineman’s focus shifts to official visits. He will take an official visit to Baton Rouge this weekend to check out what LSU has to offer. But what about the weekend of Jan. 31, just before National Signing Day? “I don’t know for the last weekend yet,” he said. “Me and my parents are trying to discuss whether it’s going to be Kentucky, Georgia or South Carolina.”"
