The Kentucky Wildcats made the term bounce back have two meanings Saturday afternoon at Rupp Arena. They not only found a way to bounce back from the last second loss at Arkansas they had to overcome a sluggish first half to defeat the Tennessee Volunteers.
The Vols dominated on the boards (39-24), which Kentucky isn’t accustomed to seeing. The Cats compensated for that by shooting 43.8% (7-16) beyond the arc and more importantly 95.8% (23-24) from the foul line. That has been something everyone has been waiting to see.
Aaron and Andrew Harrison played well in the back court combining for 40 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Up next, the Texas A & M (12-4, 3-0 SEC) Aggies will pay a visit to Rupp Arena on Tuesday night at 9:00 p.m.
