Kentucky Wildcats wide receiver DeMarco Robinson has been arrested Thursday night for disorderly conduct. As of now, he’s scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette County district court Friday afternoon.
Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said Robinson was charged due to a violation of the noise ordinance and resisting arrest.
UK spokesman Tony Neely said Kentucky Coach Mark Stoops was aware of the pending charges related to an incident on Thursday night, but was out on the road recruiting and could not be reached for comment.
He did confirm Robinson was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Robinson was suspended indefinitely and missed two games at the end of last season due to a violation of team rules.
He was the Wildcats’ third-leading receiver with 20 receptions for 213 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned 11 punts for 114 yards and five kickoffs for 128 yards.
