Former Kentucky Wildcats In the NBA: Rajon Rondo Injury Journey Nearing Its End

The actual day for Rajon Rondo to make his NBA season debut is still in flux. However that day (whenever it is) is fast approaching. Rondo himself has said it will be before the All-Star break.

NBA All-Star weekend takes place on Feb. 14-16 in New Orleans.

This is welcome news for all Boston Celtics fans and of course all UK fans. First year Celtics coach Brad Stevens has to be the happiest of all.

Boston is currently 13-24 and holds a half game lead on the Philadelphia Sixers for next to last place in the Atlantic Division. That said, the Eastern Conference is exceptionally down this season.

The Celtics are still very much in playoff contention. They trail the Charlotte Bobcats by two games for the eighth and final playoff spot. Insert a healthy Rajon Rondo and a second half surge in the standings for Boston is definitely foreseeable.
