Kentucky head coach John Calipari was in West Virginia last night to watch two prospects for the Class of 2015. Those players being Carlton Bragg and Stephen Zimmerman. Their respective teams played against each other as part of the Cancer Research Classic. Zimmerman’s Bishop Gorman defeated Bragg’s Villa Angela-St. Joseph by a score of 73-60. Zimmerman finished with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Bragg had nine points.
Zimmerman is a 7’0″ center from Las Vegas, Nevada and is rated by ESPN as a five-star recruit. He is also ranked by ESPN as the best player at his position and as the 2nd best player overall for the Class of 2015. Zimmerman, who is undeclared, already has an offer from Kentucky. He also has offers from other prominent schools such as Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina, and UCLA.
Bragg is a 6’9″ power forward from Cleveland, Ohio and is rated by ESPN as a five-star recruit. He is ranked by ESPN as the 4th best player at his position and as the 10th best player overall for the Class of 2015. Although there is interest from Kentucky, he doesn’t yet have an offer from them. However, he does already have offers from Indiana, Kansas, Michigan State, Ohio State, and UCLA, to name a few.
