Former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA: Wednesday Night Recap


 

Since it was Christmas Day, there weren’t as many former Cats to keep up with, but the few who played yesterday were worth watching.

With his new starting position for the Houston Rockets, Terrence Jones has done nothing less than impress fans continuously. In the Rockets 111-98 win against the San Antonio Spurs, Jones scored 21 points in 42 minutes. Jones went 9 for 20 from the field, 3 for 4 from the free throw line, grabbed 14 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocks to round off a solid Christmas Day performance for the Houston Rockets.

 

-Jodie Meeks, Los Angeles Lakers

 As Jodie Meeks continues to start for the Los Angeles Lakers, he too is doing nothing less than shining. In 38 minutes playing time, Meeks scored 17 points, was shooting 50% for the night going 6 for 12 from the field and 1 for 2 from the free throw line. Meeks also grabbed 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals to cap off his night in the Lakers 101-95 loss to the Miami Heat.
