With no bowl game for the Kentucky Wildcats football team, the main focus is recruiting. And making sure the committed players stay committed for National Signing Day. With that in mind, other teams commits may also be looking at Kentucky as well.

"Seneca defensive end Lloyd Tubman has been committed to Vanderbilt since the spring and there has never really been any evidence he was wavering. Is there now? Tubman told Cats Illustrated this week that as National Signing Day draws near he’s still on board with the Commodores but he’s not closing off all of his other options. The three-star prospect, ranked the No. 31 weakside defensive end in the nation by Rivals.com, said he will take an official visit to Vanderbilt Jan. 24-26. But that might not be the only official visit he takes before February, especially if it’s his decision alone. “I might take some but I’ve got to check it over with Vanderbilt,” he said. “Right now that’s the only one. I might visit Kentucky and Purdue.” Tubman said the coaches from Kentucky and Purdue have not had in-home visits with him but they have stopped by Seneca to express their continued interest and let him know that they have a spot for him just in case he wavers. “They’re still sending out e-mails and letters and stuff, too,” he added."

One thing that does seem solid for UK is their WR commitment class. And apparently, you can thank Thaddeus Snodgrass for helping to keep the unit close.

"Thaddeus Snodgrass has come to know most of his fellow 2014 commitments but he’s got a special bond with the other receivers who are committed to UK. The Springfield, Ohio, receiver had a rough season this year as the team struggled and the offense had difficulty getting him the ball as often as he would have liked. Thaddeus Snodgrass wants to make an early impact at Kentucky. But his spirits are high and he’s anxious to make an impact early in his time at Kentucky. Snodgrass took his official visit to Kentucky last weekend and if you were on campus you may have spotted him with Dorian Baker, T.V. Williams and Garrett Johnson. In fact, you probably did see that quartet if you spotted Snodgrass. “I think we all bring something different to the table,” Snodgrass said. “I’m a home-run hitter.” He may be the most-heralded receiver that Kentucky is bringing in even if, after the latest round of ranking revisions, Dorian Baker is the highest-ranked. The camaraderie among the receivers is one reason Snodgrass is excited about his time at Kentucky. Spending time with the other recruits and coaches was enjoyable as well. “I just got to actually spend more time with everybody. I liked seeing how (the coaches) are outside of football. I pretty much spent the same amount of time with everybody. Probably coach (Vince) Marrow and coach (Tommy) Mainord the most. We were going over the offense,” he said. “We did talk some football but it was really just out time to hang out with them.”"
