FIRST MEETING

The Mountain West Conference has been one of the top mid major conferences recently and the Boise State Broncos are one of the hottest teams in it. The Broncos come into tonight’s game at Rupp Arena as the top scoring team in the country and they are one of the better defensive rebounding teams as well. Boise State did something Kentucky did not last year: make the NCAA Tournament. The Broncs finished 21-11 last year and gave then #15 Michigan State a big scare, falling 74-70 at Sparty. The Broncos also knocked off #11 Creighton by 11 so they are no stranger to playing tough on the road. The Bronco are 8-0 this year and come into Rupp with an 8-0 record.

After Friday’s game versus Baylor, there is obvious concern that this Wildcat team more closely resembles the 2013 Cats rather than the 2012 National Champs.  Personally, I don’t think it’s time to panic yet.  But if the Cats lose to the Broncos, I may change my tune.  With that said, let’s meet the Broncos.
