It looks like a pair of former Kentucky Wildcats are on the move, as the Sacramento Kings have reportedly reached an agreement with the Toronto Raptors that will send forwards Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes north of the border in exchange for All Star forward Rudy Gay:

While it’s sad to see the two Wildcats leave DeMarcus Cousins behind, the addition of Gay should provide more balance in the Kings rotation and may be enough to make them a playoff contender. At 5-13, the Kinkgs are still just 4.5 games behind the WestErn Conference No. 8 seed.

The Kings signed Cousins to a four-year, $62 million extension in September and solidified their plans to build around him after a productive start to his career.

He’s currently averaging 22.0 point, 9.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. Cousins had 20 points and 11 rebounds in his return from an ankle injury, a 106-100 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.
