Kentucky Wildcats fans should expect icy conditions tonight

For Kentucky Wildcats fans traveling to Dallas today for the double-header against Baylor, conditions were not all that great.

One Kentucky fan, Shawn Wall, tweeted a photo of AT&T Stadium late in the morning. Wall writes that it “looks like the a skating rink for tonight’s UK vs Baylor game!”

Winter Storm Cleon did a number on the city–including the cancellation of roughly 1,000 flights in and out of the airport. At Dallas-Fort Worth International, there were 680 departures being canceled–accounting for 80% of daily flight traffic. Over at Love Field, Southwest had some 50 cancellations.

The Winter Storm Warning in Dallas is expected to expire this evening but for fans in Dallas but the road conditions might not be all that great after the game.

As of this afternoon, North Texas was dealing with some 200,000+ in power outages. Not the best conditions to be traveling in. If you are in Dallas and headed to the game, please do so with caution.

Kentucky Deputy Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy tweeted the following this afternoon:
