Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Recruiting: Back in with Rashad Vaughn

Class of 2014 prospect Rashad Vaughn has added Kentucky back onto his list of college options.  Vaughn did so after Kentucky assistant coach Orlando Antigua checked in on him on Tuesday.  Before adding Kentucky back into the picture, Vaughn had his list cut down to seven schools.  Those schools being Arizona, Baylor, Kansas, Iowa State, Minnesota, North Carolina, and UNLV.

Vaughn is one of the few remaining high-profile recruits in the Class of 2014.  He is a 6’6″ shooting guard and is rated as a five-star recruit.  He is ranked by ESPN as the 2nd best player at his position and as the 17th best player overall in the Class of 2014.  Kentucky is looking to sign another wing player like Vaughn since they have already missed out on a few prospects to fill that void.

Vaughn has already visited Baylor, Iowa State, and UNLV.  He will take an official visit to North Carolina on February 15, 2014.  Vaughn doesn’t plan to sign until the late signing period in the spring.  Therefore, Kentucky now has the time and opportunity to try and get a commitment from him.
