The Tennessee Volunteers haven’t had a lot to cheer about the in the midst of a 4-7 campaign that’s guaranteed to end without hem playing in a bowl game in the first season of Head Coach Butch Jones, but one bright spot has been the play of  freshman receiver Marquez North.

The North Carolina native and five-star prospect coking out of Mallard Creek High School is among the national leader in catches and yards by freshmen (37 catches for 496 yards). His most memorable play of the year helped spring the Vols’ upset of a top-10 South Carolina team:

    North is a big dude. We all saw what the Mizzou WR’s did to the UK DB’s. That would be a big loss for UT if he can’t go.
