Kentucky Wildcats Football: Does Jojo Have The Mojo?

Unfortunately news came out today that Senior running back  Raymond Sanders has been dismissed from the Wildcat football team for violating team rules. This means ultimately that the Cats will look to freshman running back Jojo Kemp to take a bigger role in the Cats offensive scheme. Losing Sanders is a huge blow to the Wildcats offense as he was tied for the most rushing yards on the team with 464 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. Sanders was a guy who fought for every single yard and it truly is a shame to see him go but now its Kemp’s time to shine.

With 455 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns Kemp is going to get a bulk of the carries from here on out. This is a huge opportunity for him to step up and show Stoops what he can really do when getting 15-20 touches a game. He is truly a playmaker whenever the ball is in his hands and he has the ability to play at the NFL level if he keeps improving the way he is each and every game. Kemp will not be alone as fellow running back Jonathan George and Dyshawn Mobley will probably get some carries to take the load off of Jojo’s shoulders but I cannot wait to see what he can do. The future of Kentucky football is going to be on showcase these last few games of the season and it should be fun to watch.
