SERIES HISTORY
FIRST MEETING

The Keightley Classic continues tonight and the Texas Arlington Mavericks of the Sun Belt Conference make their way to Rupp Arena.    The Mavericks finished 19-14 last year and are not afraid of the big stage.  They gave Oklahoma all they wanted in a 63=59 loss.  This year, they have played two future Kentucky opponents (Boise State, Cleveland State) and have lost both games.

Just two starters return from last years team, and one of those, Shaquille White-Miller, has not started yet this season.  The Mavericks are a team that loves to bomb away however and average 27 three point attempts a game.  As we know those kind of teams are dangerous and Kentucky under Calipari has struggled with some of these teams in the past.

That’s why they play the games, so let’s meet the Mavericks.
