Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Recruiting: Luke Kennard Back In Lexington

Class of 2015 recruit Luke Kennard was in Rupp Arena last night for Kentucky’s 87-49 victory over Robert Morris University.  Kennard, who has grown up as a Wildcats fan, sat behind the Kentucky bench to enjoy the game.  Kennard’s father told the Lexington Herald-Leader that the family had a “great time” at the game.

Kennard, who is from Franklin, Ohio, has now taken multiple visits to Kentucky since receiving a scholarship from John Calipari in July.  Kennard’s hometown is only a two-hour drive from Lexington and he was able to attend the UK Alumni Charity Game in September as well.

Kennard is a 6’5″ shooting guard that is rated as a five-star prospect.  He is ranked by ESPN as the 9th best player at his position and as the 24th best player overall for the Class of 2015.

Other major recruiters of Kennard include Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State.
