In the second half we have seen more of the same. Vanderbilt isn’t playing like they played last weekend in the Swamp against the Gators but Kentucky isn’t taking advantage of it. Every time it looked like Kentucky was going to make a move, something would get in the way; namely Vanderbilt. Surprisingly, UK has out gained Vandy, 169 yards to 79 yards but Vandy still has the 9 to 6 lead. Jalen Whitlow is 8- 15 passing for 60 yards and Kentucky has out rushed Vandy, 109 yards to 28 yards. The defense is looking good and have held Vandy to just 7-10 passing for 51 yards and just 28 yards rushing. Jalen has also thrown two more interceptions for the second quarter.
If Kentucky can put together some sustainable drives and the defense continues to play the way they have, they could find themselves a win in the SEC.
