Stanley Johnson has officially set a date for making his college decision. Johnson will be announcing his decision this Friday, November 15, at 4 p.m. ET on ESPNU. Johnson is a 6’6″ small forward from Fullerton, California. He is a five-star recruit and is ranked by ESPN as the 2nd best player at his position and the 9th best player overall for the Class of 2014. The decision from this high-profile recruit is certainly much anticipated.
The remaining schools on Johnson’s list that he will be choosing between are Arizona, Florida, Kentucky, Oregon, and USC. After his visit to USC, Johnson told the media he would take a break from any future visits. It appeared he was unready to make a decision and there was no way to tell when he would decide. However, that has all changed now.
It seems his decision is really down to Arizona, Kentucky, and USC. Arizona has strong connections to Johnson and is AAU team and appears to be the frontrunner at this point. USC is the hometown option and Kentucky is once again trying to add another highly touted prospect.
Cliff Alexander, Tyus Jones, and Jahlil Okafor will also be making their college decisions this Friday on ESPNU.
