NORTHERN KENTUCKY NORSE (0-1)
NOVEMBER 10, 2013 – 4:00PM
RUPP ARENA, LEXINGTON, KY

FIRST MEETING EVER

You have to hand it to the Northern Kentucky Norse who made the jump to NCAA Division 1 just last year.  The Norse finished 11-16 overall, but managed to go 9-9 in the Atlantic Sun Conference, home of NCAA sweetheart Florida Gulf Coast University.  The Norse actually played FGCU tough last year and lost 60-53.  Dave Bezold has installed a fearless attitude in the Norse and they will not back down from anyone.  The Norse travelled to Ohio STate last year and will be invading Rupp Arena tomorrow for a first ever meeting with the Wildcats.

To be honest, the Norse should have beat Purdue last night.  NKU led most of the game and fell to Purdue 77-76.  The Norse will look to slow the game down to minimize mistakes and they got plenty of air support against Purdue, going 13-26 from long-range.   Expect to see the same fearless attitude tomorrow as the Norse look to shock the world and make a name for themselves in Division One basketball.  Let’s meet the Norse.
