Time Warner Cable unlikely to air Kentucky game against Alabama State

The Kentucky Wildcats take on Alabama State this Saturday night at 7:30 PM but if you have Time Warner Cable, don’t expect to watch the game on television.

While Insight was kind enough to pick up all those games that were aired on CSS, Time Warner Cable has never done so. Not football or basketball. It’s a shame because Kentucky fans are crazy.

The only option if one has Time Warner Cable is to watch the game on the Watch ESPN website or to listen to Tom Leach and Jeff Piecoro call the action on the UK IMG Radio Network.

Last season, when I found out that Time Warner would not be picking up the CSS games that Kentucky plays in, I contacted the Southeastern Conference office to see if there was a way to prevent future Kentucky games from airing on CSS. Unfortunately, that didn’t quite work out so well.

If you go on the CSS website, here is what it says about where to find the station:

CSS is available through Comcast, Charter and other cable providers. We are not currently available through Dish Network, DirecTV, ATT Uverse, or Verizon Fios. If you are interested in CSS on your cable, satellite or internet provider, please contact them and request it.

Knowing Time Warner, this weekend’s game will only be found on the radio or Watch ESPN.
