Halftime Update: Blue Leads White 50-29

From the opening tip, this game has been controlled by the Blue team here at Rupp. With what many assume to be the seasons starting lineup, the Blue team has outplayed the White team the entire first half. They currently lead 50-29, which seems like a small margin if you’ve been watching the game. The game has been characterized with sloppy play at times, something Calipari has preached to his players. He is encouraging them to fail now and get it out of their system. Try things out and see what does and doesn’t work while the games don’t matter. He knows that this team cannot afford to make those mistakes once the regular season gets here, as teams like Michigan State and North Carolina will have a feast if they do. Amongst the sloppy play, however, has been some great highlight reels. Julius Randle has lead the way, with multiple SportsCenter worthy dunks. This team has what it takes, if it can cut down on the mistakes, to go undefeated! Below are the first half stats.
