Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Recruiting: James Blackmon Visits Indiana

Indiana University made some moves in basketball recruiting this past weekend.  The program gained a commitment from Class of 2014 recruit Max Hoetzel.  Hoetzel is a 6’7″ small forward and is ranked as a three-star recruit by ESPN.  Hoetzel also had offers from schools such as Boise State, UConn, Davidson, Florida, Pennsylvania, and St. John’s.  Hoetzel now joins Robert Johnson in Indiana’s recruiting class for 2014.  Johnson is a 6’3″ shooting guard and is ranked as a four-star recruit by ESPN.

James Blackmon Jr. visited Indiana this past weekend as well.  Blackmon is a 6’2″ shooting guard and is ranked as a five-star recruit by ESPN.  Blackmon originally committed to Indiana but decommitted from them in August.  In regards to his visit, Blackmon told SNY.tv, “It was good.”  He also said, “I liked the players.”  Blackmon visited Kentucky a couple weekends ago for Big Blue Madness.  He is certainly one of the top shooting guards for the Class of 2014 and is also considering going to Kansas, Michigan, and Michigan State.
