Kentucky Wildcats Football: Drew Barker Continues To Impress

Up to this point in his senior season at Conner High School, Drew Barker had amassed 1648 yards on 125-195 passing and added 565 yards on 104 rushes. This fails to show his outrageous touchdown numbers, which include 22 passing touchdowns and six rushing touchdowns. The 2014 University of Kentucky commit did not disappoint this past Friday, continuing his impressive season at home against Grant County High School. Barker drove Conner down the field on each of their first two drives, capping them off with a pair of rushing touchdowns. After opening up the game with two scoring drives, Conner kept their foot on the pedal. Barker continued to march them down the field, throwing for four touchdowns on the next five drives to go up big. All in all, Barker added six touchdowns to his season total (26 passing and eight rushing). With eye-popping stats like these, it is a wonder that Kentucky fans aren’t petitioning for Barker to play this season. Expect Barker to continue his impressive streak going the rest of the season and well into the playoffs as he prepares to come in to Kentucky next year, ready to compete for the starting job immediately. He is going to be special folks. Soak it all in while you can!
