Kentucky Wildcats Football: Whitlow Injury Update

On Saturday evening silence filled Commonwealth stadium after a blown play that ended up with quarterback Jalen Whitlow lying on the ground in pain. At first glance it looked like it could’ve been a serious ankle injury as Whitlow was on the ground for quite awhile before being helped off the field by trainers. This comes the game after it seemed like Kentucky was getting in their groove on offense and then everything was thrown off when Maxwell Smith entered the game. This has happened way too much these past few years for Kentucky teams unfortunately where injury takes one of our guys but it’s part of the game. Luckily today Mark Stoops announced that Whitlow’s injury isn’t as serious as it appeared and will hopefully only miss one game after our bye week which is when the Cats host Alabama State in Lexington. So if all goes according to plan and he doesn’t do anything to tweak it any further we will have him at the helm of our offense when we’ll need him against the rest of our SEC opponents.
