Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Recruiting: Myles Turner Passing on Big Blue Madness

Myles Turner

David Turner, Myles Turner’s father, has announced that Myles will take an official visit to Ohio State this Friday, October 18th.  Myles Turner is a 6’11″ center from Bedford, Texas.  He is a five-star recruit and is ranked by ESPN as the second best player at his position and the second best player overall for the Class of 2014.  Turner had been considering several schools to spend this weekend with, including Duke, Kentucky, and Oklahoma State.  However, Turner respected the fact that Ohio State was the first to invite him to visit on October 18th.

Seeing past this upcoming weekend, Turner told SNY.tv that he plans to visit Kansas.  He was unable to attend “Late Night in the Phog” last weekend because he was at the USA Basketball Camp.  Turner is a projected top-2 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and recently trimmed his list of college choices to 8 schools.  Those being Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, and Texas.  Therefore, we will continue to closely follow this talented prospect through the rest of his recruitment process.

Turner plans to sign in the spring.
