Tonight at 7 p.m. ET on ESPNU, the Kentucky Wildcats will open their 80th season of SEC football against the Florida Gators at Commonwealth Stadium. The Gators, ranked #20 in the latest AP Poll, are 2-1 this season following a 31-17 win against the Tennessee Volunteers down in Gainesville last Saturday. The Wildcats are 1-2 this season following a bye week after their 27-13 loss to intrastate rival Louisville. Kentucky will be trying to end one of the FBS’s longest losing streaks to an opponent, with the Gators winning 26 consecutive games against the Wildcats. November 15th, 1986 was the last time that Kentucky defeated Florida in football. It has been 9,814 days since that last victory for Kentucky against Florida. The Wildcats are long overdue for a win against the Gators and hopefully tonight will be that time. Here are some numbers and facts of interest heading into tonight’s game:
