John Conner signs contract with the New York Giants

After being released by the Cincinnati Bengals this preseason, Former Kentucky fullback John Conner signed with the New York Giants this morning. The terms of the contract were not released, however. Conner is a perfect fit for the Giants. Already familiar with New York from having played with the Jets for three seasons, the Giants needed a fullback. Henry Hynoski was placed on injured reserve, and “The Terminator” will take his place.

“We need a fullback, we need a leading blocker,” Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. “[Conner] is a physical guy — we think he’ll go up in the hole and clear the hole for the running back, and we hope he’ll be a good pass protector and contribute on special teams as well.”
