Tyler Ulis is a four-star recruit from Matteson, Illinois. He is a 5’9″ point guard and is ranked as the 8th best point guard and the 38th best player overall for the Class of 2014 by ESPN.   After having weekend visits to Kentucky and Michigan State, it is expected that Ulis may be close to making his college decision.

James Ulis, Tyler’s father, discussed Tyler’s decision on the way home from the visits and believes Tyler is ready for it to be over and make his decision soon.  Ulis visited Kentucky along with Devin Booker and Jahlil Okafor.  Booker and Ulis have also discussed possibly being a package and going to the same school together.

Meanwhile, Myles Turner is also being closely looked at by Kentucky.  Tuner is a five-star recruit from Bedford, Texas.  He is a 6’11” center and is ranked as the 3rd best center and the 10th best player overall for the Class of 2014 by ESPN.  Turner recently trimmed his list of college choices down to eight schools: Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, and Texas.

Turner will host in-home visits today with Kentucky’s John Calipari and Texas’ Rick Barnes.  He will then host Duke on Thursday.  Turner has said that he will likely sign later in January or February.
