As Eric Bledsoe is getting prepared for the 2013-14 NBA season he is finally in different surroundings. He doesn’t have Chris Paul or Chauncey Billups to play behind or anything like he’s been accustomed to over the past few years. He and NBA veteran Caron Butler were sent to Phoenix in a 3 team deal involving Jared Dudley to Milwaukee and JJ Redick to LA. Caron praised Bledsoe in an interview saying he’s
“Explosive, dynamic guard who has superstar written all over him. … I think he’s going to come here and just put everyone on notice,” Butler said. “I think he’s going to put the sports world on notice.”
In Phoenix he is going to be called upon to do all the things he did in Los Angeles, and more. Phoenix is a very young team overall, Bledsoe will be accompanied by another former Wildcat in Archie Goodwin who the Suns drafted with the 29th pick of the 2013 NBA draft and Maryland bigman Alex Len who is looking to be a threat at the next level. The Suns have the pieces to rebuild into a good team like they were a couple years ago and I think that they will be just fine.
