Kentucky Wildcats Football Recruiting: Kentucky misses on Taylor, but times are changing

Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow have been on a recruiting tear that has made national news, and everybody is taking notice. When Drew Barker committed to Kentucky a few months back everybody knew that he would bring in some recruits as he is considered the next great quarterback to put on a Kentucky uniform, but nobody expected Kentucky FOOTBALL to have a firm grip on a top 10 recruiting class.

Kentucky sits at #4 in the team standings for the class of 2014, and were expecting to move up today with the commitment of 4 star OL Brady Taylor. Well Taylor shocked everybody earlier tonight, and picked Virginia Tech over Kentucky. Mark Stoops and company don’t miss on many, and this one was a shock to everybody even Virginia Tech fans.

While Big Blue Nation is shocked that we lost a recruit to Virginia Tech…….Yes, Kentucky lost a recruit to Virginia Tech, and everybody is shocked. Mark Stoops may miss on recruits but the hype over Kentucky football in at an all time high, and he is changing the perception of Kentucky football day-by-day.

Brady Taylor was a very important piece to this recruiting class, and it will sting Kentucky a little bit that he didn’t pick them, but another 4 star OL Nick Richardson may make his decision very soon, and Kentucky is once again a heavy favorite to land Richardson.

Kentucky’s 2014 class stays at 21 with the Taylor decision, and only 2 OL in that class. Nick Richardson is almost a “must get” for Kentucky now that Taylor went to VT.
